Description

A bright, frosty watermelon smoothie made with coconut water, lime juice, honey, a pinch of sea salt, and ice. It is refreshing, fruity, and inspired by the flavor balance of a homemade hydration drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Chill the serving glasses and blender jar if desired.
  2. Add the watermelon, coconut water, lime juice, honey, sea salt, and ice cubes to the blender.
  3. Secure the lid and pulse a few times to break up the ice and fruit.
  4. Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and frosty.
  5. Taste and adjust with a little more honey or lime juice if needed.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use very cold watermelon for the most refreshing flavor.
  • Frozen watermelon cubes can replace fresh watermelon for a thicker smoothie.
  • If your watermelon is extra sweet, you can reduce or skip the honey.
  • Leftovers can be frozen into ice cubes or popsicles.
