Description
A bright, frosty watermelon smoothie made with coconut water, lime juice, honey, a pinch of sea salt, and ice. It is refreshing, fruity, and inspired by the flavor balance of a homemade hydration drink.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Chill the serving glasses and blender jar if desired.
- Add the watermelon, coconut water, lime juice, honey, sea salt, and ice cubes to the blender.
- Secure the lid and pulse a few times to break up the ice and fruit.
- Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and frosty.
- Taste and adjust with a little more honey or lime juice if needed.
- Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use very cold watermelon for the most refreshing flavor.
- Frozen watermelon cubes can replace fresh watermelon for a thicker smoothie.
- If your watermelon is extra sweet, you can reduce or skip the honey.
- Leftovers can be frozen into ice cubes or popsicles.
