- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs

- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans evenly.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For thicker cookies, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Lightly toasting the pecans enhances their flavor.
- Cookies will continue to set as they cool.
