This Southern Style Chicken Salad is creamy, flavorful, and full of classic Southern charm. Made with tender rotisserie chicken, crisp celery, tangy relish, and a touch of Cajun seasoning, it’s perfect for sandwiches, croissants, or simply scooped onto crisp lettuce.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise (Duke’s Mayo recommended)
  • 2 celery hearts, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet relish
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning (or substitute with seasoned salt)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • *Optional: butter croissants, lettuce, tomatoes, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chicken, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, relish, and chopped eggs.
  2. Season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld together.
