Description

Shrimp Tortellini with Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce is a rich, flavorful pasta dish that combines tender cheese tortellini, succulent shrimp, and a silky lemon-garlic cream sauce. It’s a restaurant-quality meal that’s easy enough for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and add garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to slightly thicken.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and add the cooked tortellini. Gently toss everything to coat in the sauce.
  7. Simmer for another 1–2 minutes until heated through. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  • Use spinach or mushroom tortellini for a twist on flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a subtle kick.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
