Description

A tender salmon fillet coated in a golden, crunchy pecan crust, baked to perfection with a balance of savory, nutty, and slightly sweet flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped pecans, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Mix Dijon mustard, honey, and olive oil, then spread over each fillet. Press the pecan mixture firmly on top.
  5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and the crust is golden.
  6. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice right after baking.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Lightly toast pecans beforehand for deeper flavor.
  • Pat salmon dry before adding the crust to help it stick better.
  • Avoid overbaking to keep the salmon tender.
  • Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispy texture.
