- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast

- 1 tablespoon honeydew melon extract
- 2 to 3 drops green food coloring
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, yeast, egg, honeydew extract, and green food coloring.
- Add bread flour and salt, then mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Knead in softened butter gradually until fully incorporated.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Shape dough into a loaf and place into the prepared loaf pan.
- Let the dough rise again for 30 minutes.
- Brush the top lightly with milk.
- Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use warm milk, not hot milk, to protect the yeast.
- Allow enough proofing time for the fluffiest texture.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Freeze individual slices for easy reheating later.
