Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons instant yeast

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon honeydew melon extract
  • 2 to 3 drops green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, yeast, egg, honeydew extract, and green food coloring.
  3. Add bread flour and salt, then mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Knead in softened butter gradually until fully incorporated.
  6. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  7. Shape dough into a loaf and place into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Let the dough rise again for 30 minutes.
  9. Brush the top lightly with milk.
  10. Bake for 28 to 32 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
