- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Turn the slow cooker to low or high depending on your schedule.
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, apple juice, and vegetable oil until well blended.
- Lightly grease the slow cooker if needed.
- Add the chicken pieces into the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over them.
- Cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until the chicken is tender.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water, then stir it into the slow cooker and cook for an additional 20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Sprinkle sliced green onions on top and serve hot.
