Description

Creamy white sauce pasta made with tender penne pasta tossed in a rich garlic parmesan sauce that feels comforting, silky, and incredibly satisfying for an easy homemade dinner.


Ingredients

  • 250 grams penne pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a deep skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the all purpose flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute.
  4. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly until smooth and lump free.
  5. Let the sauce simmer gently for 4 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir until creamy and fully combined.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss well until evenly coated.
  8. Sprinkle chopped parsley over the pasta and serve warm.
