- 20 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the chicken for 6 to 7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring gently.
- Add parmesan cheese slowly while stirring continuously until the sauce becomes smooth.
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions and add broccoli during the last 3 minutes of boiling.
- Drain the tortellini and broccoli, then transfer them into the sauce along with the cooked chicken.
- Toss everything gently until fully coated in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top and serve warm.
