Description

A refreshing coconut water matcha float made with whisked matcha, chilled coconut water, vanilla, maple syrup, ice, and a creamy scoop of vanilla coconut ice cream.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 cup chilled coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup, optional
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 scoop vanilla coconut ice cream, about 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Warm 2 tablespoons of water until hot to the touch, but not boiling.
  2. Add the sifted matcha powder to a small bowl.
  3. Pour in the warm water and whisk until smooth, glossy, and free of clumps.
  4. Stir the maple syrup and vanilla extract into the whisked matcha.
  5. Fill a tall clear glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour the chilled coconut water into the glass, leaving space at the top.
  7. Slowly pour the matcha mixture over the coconut water.
  8. Gently stir once or twice if desired, or leave it slightly layered.
  9. Place the scoop of vanilla coconut ice cream on top.
  10. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

  • Sift the matcha before whisking for the smoothest texture.
  • Use warm water instead of boiling water to avoid bitterness.
  • Chill the coconut water before assembling so the ice cream floats longer.
  • Add more maple syrup only after tasting, since coconut water and ice cream vary in sweetness.
