Description

These Chocolate Ganache Cornflake Bars combine crunchy cornflakes with a silky dark chocolate ganache, topped with toasted hazelnuts and a touch of sea salt. A no-bake delight perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups cornflakes, lightly crushed
  • 10 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix crushed cornflakes with melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract until evenly coated.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface.
  4. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until steaming, then pour over chopped dark chocolate. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  5. Stir in a pinch of salt and additional vanilla if desired.
  6. Pour ganache over the cornflake base and smooth out evenly.
  7. Top with chopped hazelnuts and a pinch of flaky sea salt.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  9. Once set, lift from the pan, slice into bars, and serve.
