- 4 cups cornflakes, lightly crushed
- 10 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix crushed cornflakes with melted butter, honey, and vanilla extract until evenly coated.
- Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan, smoothing the surface.
- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until steaming, then pour over chopped dark chocolate. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
- Stir in a pinch of salt and additional vanilla if desired.
- Pour ganache over the cornflake base and smooth out evenly.
- Top with chopped hazelnuts and a pinch of flaky sea salt.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
- Once set, lift from the pan, slice into bars, and serve.
