Description

A delicious Taco Bell-inspired Cheesy Quesarito made at home, featuring a cheesy quesadilla wrapped around a flavorful beef and rice burrito with creamy sauces.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups cooked Mexican rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water, and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
  2. In a separate skillet, melt butter and place a tortilla. Sprinkle a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, then top with another tortilla. Cook until cheese melts and the tortilla is golden. Repeat for all tortillas.
  3. On each cheesy tortilla, spread nacho cheese sauce. Layer with beef, Mexican rice, sour cream, and chipotle sauce.
  4. Roll up tightly into a burrito shape, folding in the sides as you roll.
  5. Optional: Toast the rolled quesarito in a skillet for a crispy finish.
  6. Serve warm with extra sauce for dipping.

  • Use chicken or steak instead of beef for variety.
  • Chipotle sauce can be homemade with mayo, chipotle peppers, and lime juice.
