Description
A delicious Taco Bell-inspired Cheesy Quesarito made at home, featuring a cheesy quesadilla wrapped around a flavorful beef and rice burrito with creamy sauces.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups cooked Mexican rice
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chipotle sauce
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat, add taco seasoning and water, and simmer for 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a separate skillet, melt butter and place a tortilla. Sprinkle a mix of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, then top with another tortilla. Cook until cheese melts and the tortilla is golden. Repeat for all tortillas.
- On each cheesy tortilla, spread nacho cheese sauce. Layer with beef, Mexican rice, sour cream, and chipotle sauce.
- Roll up tightly into a burrito shape, folding in the sides as you roll.
- Optional: Toast the rolled quesarito in a skillet for a crispy finish.
- Serve warm with extra sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Use chicken or steak instead of beef for variety.
- Chipotle sauce can be homemade with mayo, chipotle peppers, and lime juice.
- To freeze, wrap tightly in foil and store for up to a month.
