- 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (optional garnish)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey (or brown sugar), rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add beef slices and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining 1 tbsp oil to the skillet. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli, bell pepper, snap peas, and garlic to the pan. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return beef and shrimp to the skillet. Pour in the sauce and toss to coat everything evenly. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Substitute veggies based on what you have—zucchini, mushrooms, or carrots work well.
- Add extra hoisin or chili sauce for bolder flavor or spice.
