Ingredients
Scale
- 250 grams paneer, cubed
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, loosely packed
- 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons oil
Instructions
- Preheat Your Equipment: Heat your non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tablespoon of oil.
- Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, mix paneer cubes with cornflour, ginger paste, garlic, green chilies, soy sauce, red chili flakes, black pepper, and salt. Toss gently to coat.
- Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Make sure your skillet is hot and evenly oiled before adding the paneer.
- Assemble the Dish: Place the marinated paneer in the hot pan in a single layer.
- Cook to Perfection: Sear the cubes for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden and crisp. Add remaining oil if needed.
- Finishing Touches: Toss in the fresh basil and cook for just 30 seconds to release its aroma. Turn off the heat and squeeze in lemon juice.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot with toothpicks, green chutney, or over a salad.
Notes
- Use high heat to ensure the paneer gets crispy without overcooking.
- Always pat paneer dry before marinating for better texture.
- Add basil only at the end to preserve its freshness and aroma.
