Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Chill your mixing bowl and whisk for 10 minutes before whipping cream.
- In a saucepan, combine apple cider, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir to mix.
- Warm the mixture over medium heat for about 5 minutes, without boiling.
- While cider warms, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add vanilla if using.
- Drizzle caramel sauce inside each serving mug or glass.
- Pour hot cider into mugs, top with whipped cream, and drizzle more caramel.
- Sprinkle cinnamon on top and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use real apple cider, not apple juice, for deeper flavor.
- Don’t overwhip the cream or it may become grainy.
- Caramel and spice levels can be adjusted to your taste.
- For a cold version, skip the heating and serve over ice.
