Description

Rich, fudgy chocolate brownies swirled with buttery salted caramel and topped with flaky sea salt for the perfect balance of sweet and salty.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup (180 ml) salted caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in both sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour half the batter into the pan, drizzle half the caramel, swirl gently, then repeat with remaining batter and caramel.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
  6. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately after baking.
  7. Cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them.
  • Use thick caramel to prevent sinking during baking.
  • Let brownies cool fully before slicing for clean edges.
