- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter
- 8 oz (225 g) semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup (25 g) cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (180 ml) salted caramel sauce
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and whisk in both sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
- Pour half the batter into the pan, drizzle half the caramel, swirl gently, then repeat with remaining batter and caramel.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately after baking.
- Cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake them.
- Use thick caramel to prevent sinking during baking.
- Let brownies cool fully before slicing for clean edges.
