Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups boiled potatoes, mashed
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
- 3 tablespoons corn flour
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (for sauce)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mash the boiled potatoes. Add grated mozzarella, corn flour, black pepper, salt, chili flakes, and chopped parsley. Mix well to form a soft dough.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Once the oil is hot, gently drop the balls in and fry until golden brown, turning to cook evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, and parsley to prepare the herb sauce.
- Serve the hot cheese balls with a side of chilled herb sauce.
Notes
- Chill the balls before frying for better shape and crispiness.
- Use fresh grated cheese for best melt and flavor.
- You can prep the balls ahead and freeze them.
