Description
A warm baked sandwich wrapped in pizza dough and filled with provolone, deli meats, roasted red peppers, and fresh vegetables for a hearty deli-style meal.

- 1 pound store-bought pizza dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 8 slices deli turkey
- 8 slices deli ham
- 12 slices salami
- 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced and well drained
- 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
- 1/4 small red onion, very thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, stir together 1 tablespoon of the olive oil, the Italian seasoning, and the garlic powder.
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll the pizza dough into a rectangle about 10 by 14 inches. Transfer it to the prepared baking sheet.
- Layer 4 slices of provolone down the center of the dough, leaving a border around the edges. Add the deli turkey, deli ham, salami, roasted red peppers, tomato slices, red onion, and shredded lettuce. Top with the remaining 4 slices of provolone.
- Fold one side of the dough over the filling, then fold the other side over and pinch the seams closed. Tuck in the ends and place the seam side down.
- Brush the top with the seasoned oil mixture, then drizzle with the remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the crust is deep golden and the cheese is melted.
- Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes, then slice into 4 portions and serve warm.
Notes
- Pat the roasted red peppers, tomato, and lettuce dry before assembling to keep the crust from getting soggy.
- Let the pizza dough sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before stretching if it feels tight.
- A serrated knife gives the cleanest slices after baking.
- Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for the crispiest texture.
