Description
A delicious, indulgent dish of crispy fries topped with savory Philly steak, melted cheese, and caramelized onions—perfect for a hearty snack or meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye steak
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced (optional)
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the potato fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While the fries are baking, heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and cook until softened and caramelized, about 8 minutes. Remove onions and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak and cook for 3-4 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Stir in Worcestershire sauce and bell peppers (if using), then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the fries are done, remove from the oven and arrange on a large platter or serving dish.
- Top the fries with the cooked Philly steak and onions. Sprinkle the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the top.
- Return the platter to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use any cheese you prefer, such as cheddar, for variation.
- For extra flavor, add some hot sauce or a drizzle of ranch dressing on top.
- If you want to make this a complete meal, serve with a side of salad or steamed vegetables.
