Description
Pepperoni Pizza Quesadillas are a fun and fast mash-up of two comfort food favorites! Crispy tortillas are filled with melty mozzarella, zesty marinara, and classic pepperoni slices — all pan-fried to golden perfection. Perfect as a snack, lunch, or crowd-pleasing appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 24–30 slices pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil (for frying)
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes, fresh basil, or extra sauce for dipping
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a bit of butter or oil.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on half of the tortilla.
- Top with mozzarella, Parmesan, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, and a layer of pepperoni slices.
- Fold the tortilla in half over the filling and press gently.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with remaining tortillas and ingredients.
- Slice into wedges and serve hot with extra marinara or dipping sauce, if desired.
Notes
- Use low-moisture mozzarella to prevent soggy quesadillas.
- Customize with mushrooms, olives, or bell peppers.
- For a crispier texture, use a cast iron skillet.
- These reheat well in the air fryer for a quick snack.
