Description

A flaky, golden croissant filled with juicy pears, rich chocolate hazelnut spread, and toasted hazelnuts, perfect for a cozy brunch or indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet croissant or puff pastry dough
  • 2 medium ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Thinly slice pears and toast chopped hazelnuts in a dry skillet.
  3. Unroll croissant dough and cut into triangles if needed.
  4. Spread a thin layer of chocolate hazelnut spread on each triangle.
  5. Top with 2-3 pear slices and a sprinkle of hazelnuts.
  6. Roll croissants from wide end to the point and place on baking sheet.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg and bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Use firm yet ripe pears to avoid soggy croissants.
  • Do not overfill to prevent leakage during baking.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven for crispiness.
  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate overnight for fresh baking in the morning.
