- 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 4–5 minutes or until the mixture reaches 234°F (112°C) on a candy thermometer.
- Remove from heat and quickly stir in chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Add marshmallow creme and vanilla; stir until well combined and creamy.
- Fold in chopped walnuts if using.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Let cool at room temperature until set, then cut into squares.
Notes
- Use a candy thermometer for best results.
- Swap walnuts for pecans or omit for nut-free fudge.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
