Description
One Pot Kielbasa Pasta is a hearty and comforting dish made with smoky kielbasa sausage, tender pasta, and a creamy, cheesy sauce. It’s the perfect weeknight dinner that comes together quickly with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz uncooked pasta (penne, rotini, or your choice)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat.
- Add kielbasa and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pot, add diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Add diced tomatoes (with juice), chicken broth, heavy cream, uncooked pasta, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cover and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Return the cooked kielbasa to the pot and stir in the shredded cheddar until melted and creamy.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use smoked or spicy kielbasa depending on your flavor preference.
- For extra heat, add red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- Swap cheddar for mozzarella or pepper jack for a different twist.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated on the stovetop with a splash of broth or cream.
