Description

Olive Oil and Thyme Crostini are crispy, golden toasted baguette slices infused with aromatic thyme and rich olive oil. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or base for your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the mixture generously over each slice of bread.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the crostini are golden and crispy, flipping halfway if desired.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving or topping with spreads.

Notes

  • These crostini can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Top with goat cheese, tapenade, or smoked salmon for an elegant appetizer.
  • Fresh thyme provides the best flavor, but dried thyme works in a pinch.
