No-Bake German Chocolate Pie is a luscious, creamy dessert featuring rich chocolate filling topped with a classic coconut-pecan frosting, all without turning on the oven. Perfect for a quick and indulgent treat.

- 1 pre-made graham cracker crust (9-inch)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk, brown sugar, egg yolks, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 7–10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in coconut and pecans. Let cool.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips with 1/2 cup heavy cream until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract and let cool slightly.
- Whip remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate mixture gently until combined.
- Pour chocolate filling into the graham cracker crust and smooth the top.
- Spread the cooled coconut-pecan mixture over the chocolate layer.
- Refrigerate pie for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Serve chilled and enjoy.
Notes
- Make sure the coconut-pecan topping is fully cooled before spreading to prevent melting the chocolate layer.
- You can substitute pecans with walnuts if preferred.
- For extra richness, add a layer of caramel sauce before the coconut topping.
