Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block (200g) feta cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- Pinch of chili flakes (optional)
- Olive Tapenade:
- 1/2 cup pitted black olives
- 1/4 cup green olives
- 1 tbsp capers
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the feta block in a small baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with cumin, smoked paprika, and chili flakes.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the feta is soft and slightly golden on the edges.
- Meanwhile, prepare the olive tapenade by combining black olives, green olives, capers, garlic, lemon juice, and olive oil in a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped but not pureed.
- Stir in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Remove the feta from the oven and top with the olive tapenade.
- Serve warm with crusty bread, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- For a milder flavor, rinse the olives and capers before blending.
- Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers for extra depth.
- This dish can also be served cold as a spread or dip.
