- 2 medium apples, cored and sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions

Notes
- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for balance.
- Don’t rinse sauerkraut unless you prefer a milder taste.
- Add a splash of broth if the mixture gets too dry while simmering.
