Description

Instructions

  1. Prepare crust: In a bowl mix 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs with 6 tablespoons melted unsalted butter until evenly coated.
  2. Make filling: In a separate bowl whisk together 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk, 1/2 cup freshly squeezed key lime juice, and 1 tablespoon key lime zest until smooth and slightly thickened.
  3. Layer jars: Spoon about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the crumb mixture into the bottom of each jar and press lightly to form a compact crust layer.
  4. Fill jars: Divide the lime filling evenly among the jars, pouring over the crust layer.
  5. Chill to set: Refrigerate the assembled jars for at least 2 hours to allow the filling to firm up.
  6. Whip topping: Whip 1 cup chilled whipping cream with 2 tablespoons powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
