Description

Honey Garlic Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli is a bold and delicious one-pan meal that hits all the right notes—sweet, savory, smoky, and garlicky. With juicy shrimp, smoky sausage, and crisp-tender broccoli all tossed in a sticky honey garlic sauce, this dish is a weeknight flavor bomb that’s quick to whip up and wildly satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice, for serving (optional)
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add the remaining olive oil to the same skillet. Add broccoli florets and a splash of water. Cover and steam for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Remove lid and sauté another 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the shrimp, sausage, and broccoli to the skillet. Toss everything in the sauce until well coated and heated through.
  6. Serve over rice if desired, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • Use turkey sausage or chicken sausage for a lighter version.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp—pull them off the heat once they turn pink.
  • Double the sauce if you love extra flavor over rice or noodles!
