Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs pork ribs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Place ribs on the wire rack and brush both sides generously with the sauce.
- Cover ribs loosely with foil and bake for 2 to 2.5 hours until tender.
- Remove foil and brush ribs with additional sauce.
- Increase oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) and bake uncovered for another 10-15 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra smoky flavor, finish ribs on a grill instead of the oven.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure ribs reach an internal temperature of 190°F for tender meat.
- Serve with coleslaw or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
