Description

Soft, gooey, and full of cinnamon-sugar love, these heart-shaped cinnamon rolls are a charming twist on the classic breakfast favorite. Perfect for special mornings, holidays, or just when you want to show a little extra love through baking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened, plus more for filling)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy. Add sugar, eggs, softened butter, vanilla, and salt. Mix in flour gradually to form a dough.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for 6–8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Roll dough into a rectangle. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll both ends inward to meet in the center. Cut into slices and pinch bottoms to form hearts.
  5. Place rolls in baking dish, cover, and let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use dental floss to cut clean, even rolls without squishing them.
  • Don’t overbake — keep them soft and golden, not dry.
  • Shape the hearts by gently pinching the bottom of each sliced roll.
