- 2 puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F or heat a grill pan on medium-high heat if grilling.
- In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon olive oil and sauté the onions until soft.
- Add garlic and chili powder, then stir in ground beef. Cook until browned and fully done.
- Stir in shredded cheese, then set the mixture aside to cool slightly.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
- Spoon a small amount of the beef mixture onto one half of each square, fold over, and press the edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with the remaining olive oil.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or grill 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and puffed.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
