- 400 grams firm tofu, cubed
- 2 tablespoons white miso paste
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 1 cup broccoli florets, lightly steamed
Instructions
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
- In a bowl, mix miso paste, soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic until smooth.
- Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Place tofu in the skillet in a single layer.
- Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden and crisp.
- Pour in the sauce and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes until thickened.
- Add steamed broccoli and toss gently to coat.
- Serve hot over rice, topped with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- Press tofu well before cooking for better texture.
- Use fresh ginger for the best flavor.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure crispiness.
- Reheat gently with a splash of water to loosen the sauce.
