Description

The Garlic Herb Cheese Log is a flavorful and creamy appetizer made with soft cheese, fresh herbs, and garlic, rolled into a log and perfect for spreading on crackers or bread. It’s an elegant yet easy make-ahead dish ideal for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz goat cheese (or more cream cheese, if preferred)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for smoothness)
  • Additional chopped herbs or crushed nuts (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, goat cheese, garlic, parsley, chives, dill, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  2. Place the mixture on a piece of plastic wrap and shape it into a log using your hands or a spatula.
  3. Wrap tightly in the plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  4. Once chilled, unwrap the log and roll it in additional chopped herbs or crushed nuts for a decorative coating, if desired.
  5. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks.
