Description

A flavorful and hearty Garlic Butter Beef Rice Skillet combining tender ground beef, garlic-infused butter, and fluffy rice cooked together in one pan for an easy and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cups cooked white rice
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  5. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  6. Stir in cooked rice, frozen peas and carrots, and beef broth.
  7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until heated through and flavors combine.
  8. Stir in remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted and mixed well.
  9. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving if desired.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for best texture.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or corn.
