- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced into 1-inch thick rounds
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons biscuit crumbs or granola
- Fresh mint (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- In a bowl, mix mascarpone, vanilla extract, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Set aside.
- Melt butter in the skillet, then stir in brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Add apple slices in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until golden.
- Flip apples and cook another 4–5 minutes, basting with caramel.
- Remove from heat and plate the apples. Top with mascarpone mixture, biscuit crumbs, and garnish with mint if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy.
