Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg, then gently stir into the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the fresh blueberries carefully.
  6. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and shape into a circle about 1 inch thick.
  7. Cut into 8 wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18 to 22 minutes until lightly golden on top and cooked through.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.
