Description

Creamy burrata, sweet figs, and a drizzle of chili oil on crisp toasted bread — this Fig & Burrata Toast is a quick, elegant bite that feels like a treat any time of day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices rustic bread (sourdough or country loaf)
  • 1 ball burrata cheese (about 4 oz)
  • 3 to 4 fresh figs, quartered
  • 1 tablespoon chili oil
  • A few sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or toaster to medium-high heat.
  2. Quarter the figs and set aside. Let the burrata sit out to soften slightly.
  3. Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
  4. Toast the bread until golden and crispy.
  5. Place the toasted bread on plates. Gently spoon the burrata over each slice.
  6. Add fig slices over the burrata.
  7. Drizzle chili oil on top, then sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
  8. Serve immediately while warm and creamy.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm figs for the best texture and sweetness.
  • Let the burrata come to room temperature for extra creaminess.
  • Chili oil can be homemade or store-bought, but opt for high-quality brands.
