Description
Creamy burrata, sweet figs, and a drizzle of chili oil on crisp toasted bread — this Fig & Burrata Toast is a quick, elegant bite that feels like a treat any time of day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 slices rustic bread (sourdough or country loaf)
- 1 ball burrata cheese (about 4 oz)
- 3 to 4 fresh figs, quartered
- 1 tablespoon chili oil
- A few sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or toaster to medium-high heat.
- Quarter the figs and set aside. Let the burrata sit out to soften slightly.
- Brush both sides of the bread slices lightly with olive oil.
- Toast the bread until golden and crispy.
- Place the toasted bread on plates. Gently spoon the burrata over each slice.
- Add fig slices over the burrata.
- Drizzle chili oil on top, then sprinkle with thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Serve immediately while warm and creamy.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm figs for the best texture and sweetness.
- Let the burrata come to room temperature for extra creaminess.
- Chili oil can be homemade or store-bought, but opt for high-quality brands.
