Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups peeled and sliced ripe peaches (about 4–5 peaches)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves completely, forming a simple syrup. Let cool.
- In a blender or food processor, puree the sliced peaches until smooth.
- Add the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice to the peach puree and blend until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for 1 hour.
- Remove from freezer and stir vigorously with a fork to break up ice crystals.
- Return to freezer and repeat stirring every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours until sorbet is firm and smooth.
- Serve chilled and enjoy this sweet, fruity dessert.
Notes
- For a creamier texture, add a splash of coconut milk before freezing.
- Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor.
- Can be made in an ice cream maker for smoother results.
