Description

Crispy, cheesy, and garlicky, these Easy Homemade Parmesan Garlic Croutons are the perfect crunchy topping for soups and salads—or just to snack on.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups day-old bread, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add cubed bread. Drizzle with olive oil, then toss in garlic, parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat.
  3. Spread the bread cubes evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, flip them, then bake for another 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Let cool completely for extra crunch before storing or serving.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale bread for best texture.
  • Let croutons cool completely before storing to maintain crispness.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
