- 12 lasagna sheets
- 500 grams ground beef
- 3 cups tomato sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup grated parmesan
- 2 large eggs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with eggs, a pinch of salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook onion and garlic until soft, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, then let it simmer.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, add lasagna sheets, then ricotta mixture, mozzarella, and repeat layers until everything is used.
- Bake for 40 minutes until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing, then serve warm.
Notes
- Let the lasagna rest before cutting to keep layers intact.
- Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
- You can assemble it ahead and bake later.
