- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Chill in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract and continue mixing until combined.
- Fold in whipped topping until evenly incorporated and smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the chilled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Top the cheesecake with cherry pie filling, spreading it evenly over the surface.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon juice to the filling.
- This dessert can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
- You can substitute the cherry pie filling with blueberry or strawberry pie filling.
