Description
These homemade Dunkin’ Donut Munchkins are soft, fluffy, and perfectly bite-sized! Made with Greek yogurt for extra moisture and finished with a sweet glaze, they taste just like the real deal—maybe even better fresh from your kitchen.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, divided
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 7 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Make the Batter: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, yogurt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, brown sugar, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined (do not overmix).
- Shape: Using a cookie scoop or spoon, form small balls of dough and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Allow to cool slightly.
- Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, heavy cream, and remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla extract until smooth. Dip each Munchkin into the glaze, then set on a wire rack to allow excess glaze to drip off.
- Serve: Enjoy warm or at room temperature—soft, sweet, and irresistible!
Notes
- You can roll the glazed Munchkins in sprinkles or cinnamon sugar for extra fun.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Best enjoyed fresh with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
