- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery soup (or use another cream of chicken)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix (e.g., Stove Top)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, sour cream, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Spread the chicken mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the dry stuffing mix, melted butter, and chicken broth. Stir until the stuffing is moistened.
- Spoon the stuffing evenly over the chicken layer.
- Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the stuffing is golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- You can use leftover turkey instead of chicken.
- Add a layer of sautéed onions, celery, or green beans for extra texture and flavor.
- This casserole can be made a day ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
