Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large boiled potatoes, mashed
- 2 tablespoons Dabeli masala
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons tamarind chutney
- 2 tablespoons garlic chutney
- 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts
- 3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
- 1/4 cup nylon sev
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon grated coconut (optional)
- 15 to 20 phyllo cups or mini tart shells
- 2 pav buns, toasted and crumbled (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) if using phyllo cups that need crisping.
- In a bowl, mash boiled potatoes. Mix in Dabeli masala, butter, salt, and lemon juice. Combine well.
- Toast phyllo cups or tart shells in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes until slightly crisp. Let them cool.
- Fill each cup with the potato mixture. Add chopped onions, peanuts, and pomegranate seeds.
- If using bread or pastry bases, place assembled bites in the oven for 5 more minutes to warm.
- Top with tamarind and garlic chutneys. Sprinkle nylon sev and garnish with coriander and coconut.
- Serve immediately while crunchy and fresh.
Notes
- Use dry, chilled potatoes to avoid soggy filling.
- Warm chutneys slightly for better blending and spreadability.
- Garnish just before serving to preserve texture.
- Use piping bags for a neater presentation at parties.
