- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup milk
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 medium onion
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 stalks celery
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Turn the slow cooker to low heat to preheat.
- Add chicken, chopped onion, carrots, celery, garlic, chicken broth, butter, salt, pepper, and thyme into the slow cooker and stir gently.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours until the chicken becomes tender.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and milk to create a soft dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough into the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook for another 1 hour until dumplings are cooked through.
- Gently stir before serving and enjoy warm.
