Description

This Crispy Fried Shrimp Burger with Homemade Sauce is a delicious seafood twist on a classic burger. Featuring golden, crispy shrimp patties and a tangy, creamy homemade sauce, it’s the perfect combination of crunch and flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Shrimp Patties:
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup flour (for dredging)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for coating)
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs (for coating)
  • Oil for frying
  • For the Homemade Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • To Assemble:
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop half of the shrimp and finely chop the other half. Add to a bowl.
  2. Mix in breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, green onion, mayo, paprika, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Prepare three bowls: flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Dredge each patty in flour, then egg, then panko, coating well.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Toast burger buns lightly. Spread sauce on buns, add lettuce, tomato, and pickles, then place the shrimp patty and top with more sauce and the bun.

Notes

  • Use fresh or thawed frozen shrimp for best results.
  • You can air fry the patties for a lighter version.
  • Double the sauce recipe and use as a dip for fries or veggies.
