Description

A bold mashup of crispy chicken sandwich, Caesar salad, and cheesy pizza, all packed into one irresistible bite. Crunchy, melty, creamy, and flavorful—perfect for lunch, dinner, or even a party platter.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices pepperoni (optional)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 4 slices ciabatta or sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil.
  2. Dip chicken into beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.
  4. Toss shredded romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing in a small bowl.
  5. Butter one side of each bread slice. On the unbuttered side, layer marinara sauce, mozzarella, optional pepperoni, fried chicken, and dressed lettuce.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  7. Grill sandwich in the skillet until both sides are golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use a meat mallet to pound chicken evenly for faster, crispier frying.
  • Add extra Caesar dressing on the side for dipping.
  • Let fried chicken rest on a rack to stay crispy.
