- 500 grams raw chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a thin layer of oil for frying.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour and garlic powder, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dip each chicken tender in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Fry the breaded chicken tenders until golden and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
- Lay out a tortilla, spread mayonnaise and mustard, then layer lettuce, tomato slices, shredded cheese, and 1 or 2 chicken strips.
- Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly. Toast the wrap in a clean pan until golden on both sides.
- Let rest for a minute, then slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Warm the tortillas slightly to prevent tearing.
- Use a thermometer to maintain oil at 350°F for optimal frying.
- Mix mayo with hot sauce for a spicy version.
