Description

A refreshing and creamy cucumber salad tossed with shredded cheddar cheese and a tangy dressing — perfect as a summer side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Whisk the dressing until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the sliced cucumbers and shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl.
  4. Toss everything together until cucumbers are evenly coated.
  5. Garnish with chopped dill if using.
  6. Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use English cucumbers for fewer seeds and a milder flavor.
  • Let the salad chill before serving to enhance taste.
  • Can be made a few hours in advance but best served the same day.
